@@EspressoSJ Yoo Seung Ho will play a gay man with AIDS and how he copes with it with his boyfriend. Ok Taec Yeon will also star with a Japanese actor in a queer play, all under Netflix. Recently, Seo In Guk mentioned that a queer project is under discussion with his friend, who is a CEO. With the success of that BL MV, and let's not forget about the movie "Escape' with song Kang.It is queer-coded as hell. Lee Joo Hoon mentioned that he wants to act in a BL project again. if you don't know, he acted in one way before he was famous called Just Friends.

I saw the MVs for Please Don’t and the sequel No Sad Song For My Broken Heart …but the label teased a BL scene but there was none in the actual MV other than hints sadly and then he passes away at the end of the MV by unaliving himself… during pride month like people were so sad by that like what was the point after 11 years… 😅 to just do that …with the age old sad/bad ending. It’s K-pop though. Then he did a photoshoot with Cosmo with him all cuddly like is it possible for them to make a domestic BL drama in the mainstream because of this juxtaposition of Koreans turning what could be a bl into “safe bromance cause this genre “doesn’t guarantee financial success” … when actually it does 😅 despite it being niche. Also Korea is mostly conservative which plays a factor. I have heard of second one with Netflix and Japanese collaboration mentioned, and I imagine the first one you mentioned about aids is with Netflix also. Is it really the same as something being made by a Korean production company and broadcasted by sbs or jtbc in Korea. From my present state of ignorance they aren’t keen on it in the mainstream and stick with the queer-baiting & the bromances like TDJ. They know how to tease them very well like with Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook working together in things since Goblin and such. Gong Yoo did a film with Park Bo-Gum which could’ve have been something but it wasn’t and ended sadly. The Devil Judge was the closest thing I’ve seen to a queer-esq drama with big name actors like JiSung & JinYoung from Got7. I’ve seen lots of Korean web dramas that are BL, edited a few on the channel, but never one that’s in the mainstream and not one with the big names. I do know of the short film Just Friends? mentioned and it was part of a series and it was restricted in ratings classification because of it being BL and such, but granted that was 2009/2010. Perhaps Lee Je-Hoon can be in a full one this time. It’s great they’re open to it but whether it can actually become a thing remains to be seen.
